Kevy Nova: Songs
Ballad of The Kung Fu Cowboy
(Kevy Nova)

I used to watch a lot of martial arts movies when I was a kid. Sho Kasugi was the bomb! Anyway, years later, I got into that show "Kung Fu" which I thought was kind of a weird show because it was a martial arts show but also a western. Hence, the Kung Fu Cowboy! I have always dedicated this song to David Carradine when performed live. Too bad he died two months before my CD was released... R.I.P. Caine
Two years ago, I left my town. It was such a mess, there was looting and burning and people crying in the streets.
But when I came back, I saw people were no longer afraid. They were happy, I asked them how and they said,
"He's the Kung Fu Cowboy"
Yes, that's what they said, the bad guys are all dead.
Yes, he's number one and justice has been done.
Explain to me, how did one man do all of the things I see?
How did he take on all of them bad guys?
They said, "He jumped up, he punched them, he kicked them, he knocked them to the ground.
He was faster, he was wiser, he was putting them all to shame!"
Man, you should have seen him fight, faster than the speed of light.
He didn't even carry a gun, no he didn't need one.
When he was done, he didn't say a word, he just took off into the blue and now,
Now when the people sing a song, they sing about you-know-who!
If your town is in need, that's right where he will be.
He doesn't even charge a price, he does it because he is nice.
Kung Fu Cowboy!
He wears a white hat with a black belt and he can cause you more pain than you've ever felt.
Well he's a little bit Lee with a little Eastwood but don't you worry baby, he only fights for good. Kung Fu Cowboy!!!
