Kevy Nova:

24 Hour Guitar-a-thon to Fight Cancer

Posted on July 20, 2010 with 0 comments

One of the hardest questions for me to answer is "How long have you been playing music?" because I have been a musician for as long as I can remember. I would not be a musician today if it were not for my father, who not only provided me with musical instruments at a very early age but also gave me encouragement and passion and exposed me to great music, from Bach to The Beatles. I got my start by watching my dad's band practice at our house until I was finally allowed to join the band when I was 15.

My father lost his battle with cancer on September 2, 1999 and that is why I have decided that on September 2, 2010, I will try to give back some of the gift that he gave to me by playing guitar live on the internet for 24 hours straight to raise money for the American Cancer Society. You can watch by clicking HERE. You can donate by clicking HERE.

UPDATE: I will be performing LIVE from Shari's Restaurant in San Bruno, which means that YOU can come and join me! The address is: 2010 Rollingwood Drive in San Bruno, CA. It will be a 24 hour party, Yay!!! The Guitar-A-Thon will start at 12:30pm (Pacific Time) on Thursday, September 2nd and will end at 12:30pm on Friday, September 3rd.

Please pass this along to everyone you know, cancer has taken too many beautiful people already, we must find a cure and every donation gets us closer to that goal.

Peace, Hope and Love,

Kevy Nova
